Attorney Mark A. Soloman with the law firm of Matthiesen, Wicket and Lehrer will present "Ethics for Adjusters and Attorneys in the Claims Handling Process" at HCA's March 13, 2024, luncheon meeting.  The meeting will be held at Spring Creek BBQ Cypress, 25831 NW Frwy, Cypress 77429, at 11:15 am.

The course seeks to teach the basic ethics that licensed attorneys are expected to be held to and how to apply those standards to a licensed insurance adjuster.  The course will focus on the duty of good faith, unfair settlement practices and the implications of failing to pursue subrogation on automobile losses in Texas.  The goal is to show adjusters that by holding themselves to the ethical standards of attorneys, that they will be serving their insureds and the general public in a way that will reflect positively on the industry as a whole.
