The course helps insurance professionals understand the value of planning for disasters for businesses, non-profits and public entities so that they can protect their operations and either minimize interruption of these functions or prevent them.  This is valuable to professionals in both the agency and claims functions by decreasing the impact of time and financial damage caused to these entities by understanding catastrophic events, how to prepare for them and how to begin an efficient and timely process to recover from them.
